What to Expect During Your First Visit

To ensure an easy examination, it is recommended that you wear loose fitting clothing and remove any jewelry excluding rings prior to your appointment. Upon entering the office for the first time, you will be asked to fill out typical medical intake forms. If you have insurance, copies of your Drivers License or State ID and the insurance card will be made. After which Dr. Collin Johnson of Tuckahoe Chiropractic will sit down with you to perform a very detailed Health History Consultation. Based upon this information, Dr. Johnson may refer you to the proper medical specialty or perform a full examination. An examination will consist of: Posture Evaluation, Muscle Testing, Reflexes, Basic Vital Signs, Appropriate Orthopedic & Neurologic Tests as well as ParaSpinal Thermal Imaging. If the consultation & examination show need, X-Rays may be taken. At this point, Dr. Johnson may offer some physical therapeutics to help with your symptoms. Upon completion of any therapies, you will schedule your next visit to the office to receive your Report of Doctor's Findings and Recommendations.

Spinal adjustments are rarely performed on the first day as Dr. Johnson wants to take the necessary time to analyze all of the information from the Consultation/Examination. This ensures that he has found the true cause of your condition.
